Umwelt

Behind Umwelt is Fred, a music fanatic and an electronic music promotion activist from France. As a real radio passionate, he runs radio broadcasts since 1993 (for example he launched "Teknocity" on Radio Pluriel, Lyon/France, in 1999). As a DJ he started off mixing hardcore and indus in 1993. As a producer he is composing electronic music since 1996. During the years he has released some stuff: contributions for 3 compilations (on Trax, Langhaul) and 10 EPs (on his own labels Fundata, Shelter, Trankill). His latest tracks sound rather "breaky & dark" and have so found the way on to K6 records. Since 2005 Umwelt releases his music also on the New York based Electro-Label "Satamile".
